Thanks Skim! I appreciate it. I love the thought of doing the lifts everyday, cut out the extra and focus on the lifts. consistency is the key and doing the lifts everyday helps

Felt really good tonight, wasnt sure how this afternoons workout was going to go b/c this mornings was a little on the sluggish side...haha. but it turned out well, added 6 kg to my total, for the pwr lifts, and now my p. snatch and full snatch are only 4 kg apart, soooo i'm thinking that my full snatch needs to increase here soon...by how much? I'll have to wait and see:)

I called this guy out after adding 5kgs to my total thinking it was too much for him to increase after hitting a 5kg power snatch PR on tuesday..
huge mistake. I lost another battle by 1kg. now, I am just plain angry. tmrw...tmrw.

Friday 5/21
Morning: (12:00) Generalized warmup at home
Evening: Snatch - up to 95x1, 100x1, 103x1, 105x0, 105x1, 107x1, 110x1, 112x0 C&J - up to 120x1, 125x1, 130x1, 135x1, 138x0 (missed clean), 138x0 (missed jerk), Drop 100 3x1 clean, 3 jerk
What can I say, I'm a believer in the system! It's been one...one week of 2-a-days for me (not counting last wk leading up to the meet), but after one week my snatch has gone up from 102 to 110, nearly 112, an 8 kg increase. I never would have thought i'd switch lifting systems, but thanks to J-Rod, who took me under his wing, I'm a full blown believer now! I wont lie, I'm on cloud 9 right now, still cant believe how much i've been increasing with a wk on the new system. I realize that not every wk will show increases like this one has, but by doing the lifts everyday twice a day, my technique and consistency and comfort with heavy weights is what is resulting in the increases. Another eye opener, a month ago at Collegiate Nationals, I totalled 234, a PR for me, well today, 4 wks later, I totalled 245 in training! and the scary thing is I didnt C&J up to my potential today, jerks felt really sloppy, but i know that's just the fatigue factor that kicks in. I'm also still working on my C&J, fine tuning some technique issues that Jared pointed out and has been helping me with, my cleans are getting easier when I do them properly, now its just getting consistent with the new techniques, it'll come around, I just need to keep working hard and great things will happen! I wanna throw a HUGE thanks out to my boy, my training partner J_ROD for taking me under his wing and making me a believer! Thanks Jared!! I appreciate it more than u realize! I'm pumped to see where we end up in a few months!

amazing alex! I'm wondering what your bodyweight looks like today and also if straps were used on the snatch. Now you see what this type of training can do. Well done alex. We will always remember that it began with a man named Jared.

You must have forgotten that it's not normal to set PR's on like 5 straight days right? haha. man, you are tearing it up. It is inspiring and awesome to see at the same time.
Here is a thought: if you are capable of 110 after a FULL week of 2 a days and basically doubling the volume you have ever been used to (or maybe tripling), what do you think youi are capable of if you properly taper and peak for a meet.........
Just something to think about, this is only the tip of the iceberg for you... What is beneath the water is still to be seen--huge things!!

And I really appreciate all the praise. It is definitely going both ways, both helping each other out a ton. I am just helping you out with your program and a bit of technique tips and you are doing the same minus the program part.
It's a tremendous start to what I see as a huge summer! STay hungry.
