Nice job the last few days- very consistent! Like I said- ease into snatching everyday, don't just jump right into it or your shoulders may pay for it (I know you have had shoulder problems in the past)

C&J- worked up to 105x1,110x1,113x1,x0,x1,x0 FS- worked up to 130x3x3 started doing snatch pulls, but shoulder was kinda sore so stopped

tried training thursday and friday. didn't get real far or heavy. My shoulder kept hurting. It was a tolerable pain, but was getting worse the more I did so I figured I'd probably be better off resting it for a few days and hopefully be back hitting it once again on Monday.
-Was pretty pissed off on Friday when I felt like I couldn't do anything. Even hurt while squatting

Way to back off though man... it is a very demanding sport on the shoulders obviously so you have to be very careful. The fact that it hurts even when squatting really stinks- that is not a good sign- hopefully it is just tender and will be ready to go monday for ya!

muscle snatch- worked up to 60x3x3 snatch- ... 80x1x3 snatch pull- ... 103x2x3 beltless squat- ...160x3,x2,x3 - only got 2 the second time I think because i leaned forward a bit on the second rep

shoulder felt very good today! (not to jynx it)
I iced it through Friday and then all weekend I rested it, stretched, wore a sweatshirt everywhere to keep it warm and borrowed my gf's heat pad to use several times.

Nice work today- we'll have to see if we can squat together more often- I like that atmosphere. Take a smart approach with your shoulder- don't try to build rome in a day. Just try to build 1 building at a time!

yeah, squatting together made it a lot faster/easier. I liked it. as far as my shoulder I am getting back into it easy. It felt great today, but I still went fairly light

power clean & split jerk- worked up to 245x1x6 deadlift- ... 345x5x3 abs
-I went pretty light on the deadlifts. I haven't gone heavy in a long time and when I used to I sacrificed a lot of form just to get the weight up. I made sure to have great form while doing these and will start going heavier as I keep going.

brendan has deadlifted 245kgx3 I believe... pretty dang good for someone who at the time had only been training a year at a bw of about 94kg.

Excellent--another Oly lifter on here!
Are you still having trouble with the bar crashing on the cleans? I have the problem too. I've been doing this over a year--I don't know why I can't figure cleans out. For a lot of people that's the easiest lift (but not me). Keep me posted if you have some kind of stunning insight!
Anyhow, good luck at Collegiates! I hope your shoulder feels better.

thanks lillian, my shoulder has een feeling pretty good luckily. Crashing on the cleans isn't near as bad, I think I started catching the bar rather than just immediately going ATG and letting it land on me.
jared- yup, that's exactly right hehe. that was a while ago though

Today was a crap-tastic lift.
Snatch- worked up to 88x1. I had a ton of misses and was very inconsistent, I kept losing it forward
Snatch pull- worked up to 100 and dropped back down because I had bad form with it.
I did a lot of snatch form work and I think Jared can vouge that I pretty much rehauled my sntach :/. Have a lot of work to do with it
