The conans takes a toll, that's for sure. We were only doing 1 lap at a time and taking big jumps, so didn't get very much volume with it at all. I've been hitting a lot more PRs lately, because I decided to stop being such a meathead and going for 20-30lb PRs all the time! hehe Squatting ha been goin well last couple weeks... (knock on wood) Also changed programming to the following: Monday: bench, push press, pull ups tuesday: snatch, Squat, deadlift, Thursday: military press, clean and jerks, clean pulls -These are the "main" lifts for those days, but usually add 1-3 other accessories. Sat: events!
I was doing a lot more than that, but I just always felt tired and drug out and didn't have great lifts. Since I cut it back to 4 days all my lifts have been going great.

Hahaha yeah going for 5-10lb PRs is pry the right thing to do as long as youve been in the game for now. I like the simplicity for your program. The longer time goes on the more I favor a simple split, and yours is great. 2 gym days, a rest day, a gym day, a rest day, a huge event day, and a rest day. Then, when u come back on monday u might not be fully recovered from events, BUT, it is the least taxing of all ur gym days as it is all upper body. Great programming my friend. I used to do a VERY similar thing. Nice work dude.

Thanks a lot, Jared. I appreciate the comments, I'm feeling pretty good about the programming. Yesterday I did a small, local strongman competition at KU, which was put on by the strength club. Super light, but a fun day nonetheless. 150 log press- 19 reps in 1 min ascending squat- (hold bar on back, squat, they add weight while still on back, squat again, etc.) - 45, 135, 185, 235, 285, 335, 385, 435, 485 bar overhead run(135) deadlift medley- prowler push/pull

For the LIFE of me I can't remember his name. Amazingly nice guy. I tihnk he was a 105. Not Church, but that big of a guy. He was there at USA in the early early days. WHat was his name? Jianping said he was captain down there beceause of his "experience."Ahahahahaha idk why I dream crazy but yeah, reminded me to ask his name
