Oh yeah, it's definitely a journey. Especially since I've been moving all over the place the last couple years having to find different gyms all the time and a lot of times ending up in a commercial gym out of convenience. Makes it hard, but also is making me more mentally strong as I don't have anybody there with me as I am going for a squat pr as the guy next to me is doing bicep curls in the squat rack, or somebody in the corner attempting a new world record on the Enderton barbell complex!

HAhahaaahaha. Dude the Enderton Complex is the greatest movement ever created! Lol. True man. I am finding that right now too. I usually train a lot...Max SN Max CJ Max SQ is HARD without someone there. but god damnitt being great is not f ing easy. So I deal with it and make my fking lifts because that's what great lifters do! They man up. They don't back down from a battle. They create battles. Even if they are internal battles they fight their demons and whip the shit outta whatever obstacle steps up! Be a warrior baby!

push pressed 290 for a PR a couple days ago Yesterday: deadlifted 450x10
IT band has still been bothering me and I decided to stop squatting(which is about the only thing that seems to hurt it) for a couple of weeks and hope it bites it in the ass before it gets too bad.
Also, a guy in my gym has been trying to get me to go to crossfit with him sometime, and I finally decided I'll give it a try once my IT band's better. I'll let you know how it goes

Nice 450x10 deadlift! That is a pretty nice set right there good sir. Sometimes short and sweet workouts are the best...Good pressing man

Thanks J-money. They're not necessarily short and sweet, it's just that I've just been listing my best sets from the workout.
Today: bench- 208x5x5, 208x12 push press up to 295! (PR) clean pulls, rows, and lat pulldowns reverse girp bench- 205x8, 255x3, 225x6 (New movement for me and trying to find a good weight/rep range)

Axle C&P- 250x1, 275x1, 300x3x0 Frame carry- 450x2x50', 550x50', 610x50', 650x~40' Keg loads(unsure height- 4.5-5' prob): started light and worked up to 380x3x1 (best before this was a 300 keg)

Gotcha. You will lift it soon I am sure. Woooooooooo events baby! Haha I would HATE strongman without event days. WEll, ok, I would love lifting if I only had 1 pair of 12lb dumbbells, but, you get my point. That is some good event days man, especially the farmers. I know u know how to rock them from back in the day. How close were your attempts at 300? Is all that training at ET's?

All the events have been at ETs. All other lifting is at a local gym. Yeah, I've been rocking the farmers and frame carry. Overhead has been so so and loading is definitely a lot better than in the past.
300 hasn't been too close yet, but I've also been missing a lot of squat workouts because of IT band issues yet and adding the events day has been wearing me down a bit. Just need to adapt to the extra work a bit and I'm sure I'll hit 300 really soon!!

Gotcha. IT band issues....Tightness? Pain? What's up with that?

some tightness. a lot of pain near hip. finally getting better, just seems like it's been going on forever. Was feeling better for about a week several weeks ago. did a hard squat workout and the pain came back a few days later.
Squatted yesterday and was very disappointed by how heavy a few sets at 315 felt. I'll be easing back into squats a little slower this time, but hopefully as long as I keep stretching and such it's all in the past.

Today: squat- 330x4x8, 330x12 Deadlift- 430x6x3, 430x7 Fat gripz deadlifts and hold- 225x7sec, 10sec, 6sec
