Extremely antsy to workout today- but I know better...
1 hour massage- purely on my back
My back is just like a big knot. Tried getting that worked out a bit- I am feeling pretty good right now- I need to find a massage therapist sponsor! I'd be hitting that up like 2x/week!

5-5 warm up
split jerks-bar,135x2x4,220x3x2,265x2x1,286x1,308x3x1 keeping it light back squats- 135x7,220x5,308x3,396x2,441x1,485x1,396x3x5 keeping it light again pullups-25,10
Kept it pretty light today. Although all the "light" didnt feel so light at my lower bodyweight haha. I haven't done split jerks forever, so just drilling technique, and back squats are feeling more explosive. Weight was only 238 before workout- perfect. Wanting to get all rested up this week as my back is still pretty tight with all the knots

5-6 warm up bench press- 135x8,225x5,315x4,365x9,365x6,365x4 db incline bench-110sx8,90sx9,75sx12 tricep pushdowns/rope superset- 3x12 pullups, lots & lots of jumping rope, pushupsxmax
Overall a solid day. Have hit 365 for 14-15 before, so weight has affected my strength a bit. not a big deal though- still improving weekly. Fatigued very fast as you can see on the DB's hha. Good day though- BW was 233 after workout, and 236 coming in.

Been taking it a little easier this week trying to recover a bit. My back still feels all knotted up- so we'll see how event day tomorrow goes. Looking to hit some Farmers and some medleys.

axle clean and press- 110xsome,200xa few, 290x1, 310x1 going 4 speed 12" Log- viper presses, 105, 195x7,195x10 farmers- 190x60feet,230x60feet, 320x20ft, 230x150ft, 230x60ft medley, 300keg, 200 sandbag, 250 keg all 50 ft. to simulated load
overall a solid day- felt pretty good- farmers handles were slick- but still got some solid work in.

Just drilling technique on the split jerks. Didn't feel real confident in them today- still unstable on my dip. That will come with time- just have yet to adapt to my lower bodyweight for pressing- getting buried when I dip. Deadlifts felt real solid though, happy about that. I have push pressed 375 pounds, yet 330 pounds on a split jerks feels way heavy. I just need to keep drilling it, it will come.

Thanks v man. 5-12 MADE WEIGHT TODAY- 230 even j rope- 5-10m Close Grip Bench- bar,135x7,185x4,225x3,275x2,325x2,375x6,315x10,315x6,315x5 Incline Bench- bar,225x3,275x2x8 DB Bench- 110'sx6 fatigued fast, 85sx9,x7,x6 just plain shot pushups- 3xmax on dumbells decline sit ups/ twists- 3x12 felt pretty sick after working out yesterday, something messed up in my stomach. Woke up in the middle of the night feeling like I had 3 pounds of fluid in me. Got up and only took like 30s haha. Not sure- just felt extremely bloated. ended up being a very long morning/afternoon, lost about 6 pounds total from 5am-5pm(lifted at 5pm) went from 238.5-232.5, then to 230 even after workout. Completely dehydrated right now. No way I was going to miss a workout though- never. Will get rehydrated, fight off this flu and get back at it again tomorrow. I just can't afford to miss any training for the next 7.5 weeks. One day could cost me the pro card. Will probably do a double tomorrow- see how I feel. Haven't been doing doubles lately because I have been feeling run down/sick, finally showed through today- got most of it out my system I believe.

I still say that much of a cut is a bad idea. Unless of course you are real good at cutting from wrestling? If you are going to do it you should do at least 2 practice cuts. You'd kill yourself if you missed weigh ins or were zapped for strength during the contest.

Very true. I need to practice at least 1-2x. Technically I am down to weight right now(or was after workout), so maybe I'll just beef back up after this stomach flu passes and do it once more when I come up to your place- do it that friday, weigh in, then do events with you guys.
Do you mean from 242-231 is too big of a cut? You think that 237-238 is more reasonable day of? I'd probably agree I guess- just to be extra safe. I didn't mean to lose it today- just got extremely sick and dehydrated. Will gain it back without even trying I am sure though. I am pretty good at cutting- although this is a totally different type- cutting to be at 100% strength, rather than to wrestle a 6m wrestling match. We never had 24 hour weigh ins either. It was either 1hr. before or 2hrs., so I never let myself get 10-11 over.
I will try from 238 for my first practice cut and see how I feel/how long it takes, etc, and assess from there. Think that is a better plan of action?

was underweight again after workout. Lost 4.5 pounds during workout- completely soaked- was very hot in there. Felt pretty solid today.

Today I am sitting at about 240. Gained about 10 pounds since training yesterday. Will look to go into event day tomorrow right at 238-239 though. Those new powerade's are awesome- the "ion" or whatever... Orange flavor.. mmm

5-15 events at vince's, had a newspaper crew out there- so did a demo with log press, 151xsome, 201xafew,241xa few sets, then tirex5reps, 181 farmersx60', 265 atlas stone, some 1 arm atlas stone presses, etc etc- guess you could consider this the warm up
onto the training
12" Log- 151, 201, 241x1,271x1,291x1,311x3x0,311x1 found my groove again finally, Viper presses- 206x10 in 58s pretty easy, 221x2, 241x1 2" thick 1 arm DB- 107x3, 147x6 pretty easy again messed around with the small 140lb. stone 630lb. ish tire- 2x12, 2x6, last 2 sets of 6 were much easier
Overall a very solid day. finally found my groove on the 4th set of the log- and it flew up. That felt awesome to hit because it felt so easy. The DB has been very easy, and the tire was tough at first but I got used to it. Overall a solid day, Vince also had a good day. It was pretty fun- thanks to Vince and Kim again, and their little one for the entertainment ha!
Very happy with where my strength was at today- sore alll over! Will take tomorrow off completely.

This was a really good workout for you. Your conditioning is really coming along. We have to make sure to hit farmers and stones pretty hard next week. Some medley work too.
