By the way, I don't know if you guys have ever so deeply admired an athlete that you worry for them like a brother or anything but sometimes I get extremely worried about him in this fight. Roger's is very one dimensional but carries BIG power. Where Fedor has taken as big of shot as I've ever seen (see Fedor vs. Fujita) and come back and win, he is a few years older now and the thought of him getting clipped sucks.

Yeah usually, he said he wanted to lose a little weight for this fight though to be faster. November 7, man it's an awesome card.

Isn't the UFC airing UFC 105 that night for free? Thank god for DVR. I like seeing fedor fght but I could give two shits about his career longevity. A lot of reasons for this but the big three are, he chose his career, he followed his managment into strike force instead of going where his fans wanted him and he could give two shits about me (understandable) so why should I stake that much emotion in him?

oh wow. Very soon.
I hear what you are saying logan, and, also to you chris.
I am such a fan of some guys I get "nervous" when they are in clutch situations and even do worry like you do logan. However, after knowing what it is like watching your true brother compete it isn't quite the same fear/worry.
who is on the 105 card? lesnar pulled out of his fight, right?

Fedor makes the final decision in his career. Despite what Dana says he decides where to go in the end. He chose Strikeforce because Bigfoot Silva and Overeem were two fights hardcore fans have wanted for way longer than Brock was even in the game. ¬And why put emotion into him? Because I can't help it. It's just how I am when I idolize someone. Same way I was watching Jared wrestle in the state finals his senior year. It's not exactly something I can control. Even though he isn't focused on his legacy I worry for him because he is the sports first great champion. Our Muhammed Ali, Michael Jordan, Walter Payton or Tiger Woods. No, to your question. UFC is airing a special airng of past main events Florian vs. Penn, Franklin vs. Belfort, Silva vs. Griffin and a few others. to counter Strikeforce. I agree, thank God for DVR haha. Jared, Lesnars fight was at 106, but he is fighting H1N1, and it was found out after Shane Carwin is too.
MAIN CARD
•Randy Couture vs. Brandon Vera •Dan Hardy vs. Mike Swick •Michael Bisping vs. Denis Kang •Matt Brown vs. James Wilks •Ross Pearson vs. Aaron Riley
PRELIMINARY CARD •Terry Etim vs. Shannon Gugerty •John Hathaway vs. Paul Taylor •Nick Osipczak vs. Matthew Riddle •Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jared Hamman •Roli Delgado vs. Andre Winner
One of the best cards I think. All main card should be awesome. Couture his going to have his hands full. Bisping and Kang should be fun to watch. Rooting for Kang and Swick is one of my favorite fighters so I'm hoping he knocks Hardy out, shuts him up and makes good on his title shot.

Logan Im not faulting you. I was just stating where I am coming from. Regarding Fedor's decision, Im sure more fans wanted to see him fight Lesnar and EVERYONE wanted him in the UFC. He followed the money and not the voice of the people. The first time it happened I could understand, somewhat, his point. Once Dana offered him $2 mil a fight I could not see a reason to walk away from the most popular MMA organization. Just my two cents.

They wouldn't co-promote with his M-1 global. I'm not saying you are faulting me, we're just discussing. There has to be an athlete you worry about in tight situations?

Why would white co promote with anyone? He took bankrupt organization and made it shoot from a net worth of 2 million to billions all on his own back and hard work. That request was just rediculous and for fedor to not see that is stupid. He has the right to tell his managment that he will fight lesnar. I do feel passionatley about this move and it made me very upset when I found out the details.

It seems the bottom line in sports(ever increasing) is:
Money talks.
It went from a.trying to provide a living for yourself to b.trying to provide a living for your family to c.trying to provide enough money for your grandkids to d.trying to provide enough money for like 6 generations
Look at Floyd "Money" Mayweather on boxing. His 2 fights before he retired he NETTED 250million!!! You want to talk about the cash king. Fighters want the $ they see other fighters getting, and if they think they're the best they want to get paid the best.

PS- Great discussion. I don't know the fine details of it, but, I am sure both sides did what they felt were best for them. From what I understood Dana White offered an unbelievable deal that I heard Fedor was crazy not to accept. Of course- there are always 3 sides to a story: my side, your side, and the truth. haha

White offered fedor the biggest guarantee in MMAs short history. 2 million guarantee for showing up, fight bonuses, 1 million sign on bonus and increases based on performance.

Money probably isn't the first thing on Fedor's mind like it is for every other fighter anymore. Regardless if he ever goes to the UFC anyways, anybody with any logic knows he was the best. Why is Fedor the one people think is afraid of Brock? Why is there never any talk of Brock being afraid to go to Strikeforce to fight Fedor, Bigfoot and Overeem? Brock is the only relevant fight for Fedor in the UFC.
