;D Great job Lucy! Glad to see you're pushing yourself! Yea! Texas in the house!!! Pushing isn't usually a problem, consistency under pressure is a problem. :-)

I feel really cruddy... In the spirit of Not Writing Off Bad Days I got the bar out of our basement and plowed through some War Room circuits. I'm sure my immune system is down for the count now if it wasn't before.
A: overhead press back squat assisted pull up sumo DL crunches 15 of each. 4 times through, no rest Rest
B: push up front squat row conv DL reverse crunch same--15 of each 4 times through
The rest of the day... yeah, I'm gonna lay in a chair, eat, and watch food network. I have to try making a beer can chicken sometime. Anyone done this? It looks fantastic.

My mom actually made those beer can chickens... her and my dad LOVE it. Definitely worth something to try.

Wow.. 200 med ball slams? In addition to all that other stuff? Nice!! You are a workaholic, which makes this journal fun to read because sometimes it makes me feel lazy haha! Not lazy, but, gives me motivation.

Thanks... like I said already though the mindset that everything has to be done at 110% is a hindrance as much as it is a help. Some days it would help to knock it through my head that it's OK to be less than ideal... JUST DO SOMETHING, it doesn't have to be perfect. My perfectionism is a huge obstacle to my consistency. There was a recent article up on EFS following which a comment was made that many people drawn to this type of sport are people who can't do anything by halves and it's a curse as much as it is a blessing. I totally agree.
Squats 100x5 115x5 125x5 3x125 Disappointing, I guess I can't expect to have as crappy a couple weeks as I've had though and not expect it to affect training. I'm getting old!!
Good Mornings 5x85x6
GHR 5x10, a couple sets weighted
Walking lunges 5x10, 50 lbs
Calves Abs
Jump rope, 600... I wanted to hit 1000 but my forearms were wasted.

Bench
85x5 95x5 105x5 No spotter so I didn't push it. Started another set of 5 and slammed into the J-hooks on 2. Racked it, moved, did another 3, then 3 singles.
Pull ups/chins a bunch
DB mil 25's 3x10
Kroc rows, 45 lb 3x15
Wanted to do more... was late for work :-) My legs are still killing me from the 120 squats I did in that darn circuit last week. See if I ever do that again... which I will... LOL... probably lighter though.

good stuff, I hate benching without a spotter, I was in the same boat last night. Even if you don't need them, there is something nice about a security blanket.

It does make a big difference when you're with someone familiar. But with someone new I get nervous. So I bench in the rack when alone and the pins are the perfect height so I can touch my chest with the bar, but if I drop my arch they will catch the bar. However then I'm self conscious about failing onto the pins when there are a lot of people around. So I tend not to push it even if I could.
That all sounds pretty whiny doesn't it. Suck it up and get used to it, I guess.

No I hear you, but I hate benching. My wife ended up spotting me last night and while she was encouragin, just being different then I'm used to stinks. But I think for me alot of it is confidence in the lift itself. I feel good squatting or deadlifting around anybody, but bench.....

Deads
155x5 185x5 205x5 3x205x1
Conventional 5x155x5
Front squat 5x95x5
All my numbers are the same this cycle as last cycle. I'm not sure what I'm fighting off, but I'm tired all the time and my sleep patterns are really messed up. I'm exhausted all day and then come alive at night and have a hard time sleeping until about 6AM. This seems to be pretty consistent with a messed up cortisol cycle/adrenal fatigue and I'm going to make some changes in diet and see what happens.

I literally lay in bed all night without sleeping, and slept from 6:30 to 8:30 this morning. I was/am in a foul mood, really happy the gym was empty hahaha... someone hit me over the head so I can sleep at night, this is ridiculous. I'm glad I went in and lifted though, happy with the workout.

Chins and pull ups 50 total, couple sets of 5 and 10 each
