PRs 3 days after a contest are good. Especially when you had a beer 15 minute before.

I'm considering a 20 repper once a week or so...
4-30-2010
Bodyweight 272lbs. I've been living it up this week so I'm heavier than I'd like. Back on track next week.
Step Mill 15:00 around Level 5 on the Fat Burner
Simultaneous DB Curls 25x10 30x10 35x10 40x10 45x10
Alt. Hammer Curls 25x20 35x7 45x7 55x7
Low Pulley EZ Curls 85x10 120x10
Ugh, whatever, 25x20 was brutal, my fresh PR is 60x20... hmmm.

Brendan, here's the write-up from my last contest.
Motor Cities Strongest Man
My first strongman contest in about a year and a half. 40 pounds lighter, too.
Bodyweight 262.5
Side Handle Car Deadlift - Ford Focus 10 reps. Holy crap. I really wasn't expecting this.
Log Clean AND Press - 250lbs. 6 reps. PR. More PR considering they were all vipers. Never gotten more than 1 or 2 vipers at that weight. I bought a little time to make sure I nailed my last rep but had I know Blake hit 7 (instead of the 8, maybe 9 I thought he got) I would have pushed it to tie. Oh well.
Conan's wheel. - 650lbs. 1.5 turns... not sure on the feet of it. Never actually done a conan's (done front carries with a yoke) but as soon as I picked it I knew I was running toward the lead. I forced the speed a bit when I should have slowed some and tripped up and dumped it. Lame - o.
Farmer - Tire Flip Medley 245 FW - 600 tire 100ft. - 50ft.
35 seconds. PR. 1st place.
Atlas Stones - 5ft. to about 46" platforms. 220, 260, 300, 310, 330 5 stones in not fast enough, but damn quick.
2nd in teh 265's as noted. 4th overall. A couple 300+ guys edged me out. Unacceptable and not to happen again. All-in-all a good contest and happy to be lighter and ready to roll.

Sounds like a great learning experience for you. Why the big drop in BW? Looks like your performance was even better since dropping the weight?

I just don't like being that big. Partly from being a fatty growing up, partly because it aint good for the PT career and partly because my conditioning was crap. And that's crap anyway. My strength is still on the upswing but I plan on keeping it at 265 or lower. Should be dialing in the diet again this week.
5-7-2010
Bodyweight not sure... too high right now though
PM
Light Pressing Day Bench Press up to 275x5 close grip
30 Degree Incline DB BP 60x10, 70x10, 80x10
Dips 45x8, BWx8, BWx8
Flys 35x10, 40x10
Seated Fly Machine 3x10
PMer KB Snatch 30x2mR, x2mL x2 rounds 2H Swing 30x1m x2 rounds 1H Swing 30x30s each x 2rounds
Got that?

The pace of the sledge strikes wasn't too crazy, but consistent swinging the whole time nonetheless.
5-18-2010 Need to work split jerk technique. Singles up to 335 which is like 88 percent or so? Somewhere around there... nothing too heavy.
Standing DB push Press 60x10, 75x10, 85x8
30 Degree Incline DB 70x15, x12, x12
30 Degree Incline Flys 35x10x3
5-19-2010 - Bodyweight 272lbs. Oly Squat 45x10, 135x10, 185x5, 225x5, 275x3, 315x3, 365x1, 405x1, 455x1, 495x1, 520x1 Weren't too bad, heavier than I've gone in a while but not full-out ME.
