Thanks, Jared
Break it down.
weighed in at around 76.75. I was 79 on an empty stomach a couple weeks ago.
Snatch- 101miss,101,105 the plan from coach was 101,105,107 but I had thought if I made my first two that I'd ask for a PR 108. I imagine coach had me down for 107 cuz he's seen me do that before, he's seen me miss and clark 108. With coach you have to show it to him before he has faith in you. Anyway, plans change when you miss your opening snatch.
C&J- 139,141,142miss coach planned 130,135,140 but I came into this meet wanting to open in the C&J with what I needed to qualify. I brought it up to coach early on in the warm up and he said we'll see how warm ups go. Around the time I got to 120 he said it was ok as long as I make 130 in the warm up. It was the right thing to do and made the task efficient. 141 was just icing on the cake for a PR C&J and total.
Immediate Goals for next competition- 108PR snatch, 142 PR C&J, 247PR total. If I am able to do more than any of those, great. Forward progress, no matter how small is all that matters now. I will stay 77 for nationals, but the idea of being 85 someday has entered my mind.

Great work Simon!! 104/145 is very good improvement for you. I think you are more than capable of 110/147 at nationals! I like reading about your progress lately. Can't wait to see your 185 fs!

thanks, Jared. The 185 fs is on it's way soon. Sometimes I make 180 two days in a row. I still rank doing the competition lifts daily as the most important factor in my training and that means even on Sunday as well. I don't know when/where the "no training on sunday" stuff started but I would think it's a religious/cultural thing related to having a day of rest. After daily practice in the full lifts sleep is number two in my world. Doing the lifts and sleep. Of course I eat a lot but sleep is a must.

Friday I went up to 90/120 and 150 (sn,cj,fs) in my first session and then 105/140 and 170 in my second session. Starting to hit 245 total in training more often.

Very nice, congrats on the PR Simon! 110 is right around the corner. What have you been training at bodyweight wise?

I've been training around 79-80 and I think that's the way it will stay for training bodyweight. I just got a haircut today and I think you are gonna envy the slight party in the back I got goin on.
