Trained with Rozmenoski tonight. Hit a 110 snatch with straps. Here is the video. Funny thing is I was watching Blue Chips before I went to train and Dick Vitale is in that movie. I call this the Dick Vitale snatch, "110 baby!". www.youtube.com/watch?v=F1VDbnmq7dk

MN LWC State Champs The facts: b.w. 76.89, 2 for 6, 233kg total, Team Spatacus won Men's team title Snatch- 103x,103x,105 C&J- 128x,128,135x I was pretty nervous at this one for some reason and coach said it made me anxious and hesitant. I'd say he was right. But, I can recognize what's happening next time, even anticipate it, and have a better presence on the platform next time. I also learned guts and balls. I missed 103 twice and then asked for 105 because I wasn't gonna be satisfied with anything less and I made it. I also missed 100 in the warm-up room now that I think of it. That being said my not so good days are getting a lot better. I'm just gonna go out and say it that I plan to open with 105/130 at collegiates. My outlook has changes as far as attempts go. I used to think "build", ya know start off small and get bigger. Well now I see it that I only have so few cards to play and I can't afford to play any of my small cards anytime. 105 snatch (notice my new attire, this is the Spartacus look and everyone wears it) www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJR7boIzIwE128 C&J www.youtube.com/watch?v=A7Dn3gcZJsQ135 C&J missed attempt www.youtube.com/watch?v=brn2p57PpSEcenter judge told me that the bar was unevenly placed on my shoulders going into the last jerk which may have been enough to make it seem like there is 2.5kg more on one side. So, there might be some weird stuff going on with bar placement on my shoulders. At this point I don't know how to fix the problem. I will tell my coach to watch for this. You wouldn't see it unless you watch from the front and coaches usually watch from an angle.

Hey, you can't be TOO upset with your performance. Making a 105kg snatch (2kg away from your non strapped PR), and, cleaning and jerking 135kg (close). I mean, 240 total on a day where you didn't feel like "you."
I have ZERO doubt in my mind you will qualify for nationals. You just need that ferocious look in your eye again like you had in Carroll...You were a caged lion ready to rip heads off. Find that guy again at that next competition.

Thanks Jared, you put a smile upon my face. As far as being in the "zone", which is what I would call what you are talking about, it's hard to find that zone sometimes. Believe me I'm not TOO upset about my performance. Missing 103 twice and then making 105 was actually a little epic. I am definitely keeping my eye on the ball here. I had a great Sunday, day after competition training. It was short and sweet but higher intensity than a normal Sunday. I remember after the competition just wanting to train right then and there, wanting to make up for my lack-luster performance. Trust me, I am changing. I used to 'celebrate' after weightlifting meets, now I eat and go to bed and train the very next day and this is why my 'poor' performances are getting better. Who are we kidding? We are weightlifters! We are never satisfied. Always MORE, right? We always want more.

Absolutely. I love your attitude man. All our discussions on other threads may get heated haha, but, always know my main purpose is that I want to see you improve and succeed. Never mistake my intentions.

You better show your ass up to the american open, how long have you been lifting? if I'd been lifting as long as you I would be well up into 250-260. Don't worry about my numbers i'll be there and I hope you start making some actual progress before then.

YAHOOOOOOOo, Qualified for NATS with a 105/141 performance (246), 2kgs over the QT. Now, 250+ at nationals isn't out of reality at all. Keep up the hard work, it is paying off for you.
