Thank you, I had a lot of fun and I wish that there were more competitions coming up but looks like I have lots of time to improve before next year.
I watched video of my lifts last night and I noticed that I pinch my knees in a bit when I snatch and I struggle with the catch more then anything else. So...this morning I went into the gym and worked on those two things with a very light weight (40kg) First I did 5 x 5 of hang power snatches focusing on pushing my knees out and pulling close. Then I did some drop snatch, to work on catching the bar in a more upright position.

nice to cya on here my man! Dont let yesterday's performance get to ya too much (which it seems it hasnt). Gotta remember, it was ur first meet and its a lot different then training. u'll get more comfortable with competitions, no worries my man. Keep working hard and good things will happen.
It was fun having so many ppl compete yesterday, good vibes were flowing yesterday, I had a blast! Also, it's good to see other ppl taking this so seriously now, at times it felt as thou ppl havent been pushing themselves like they could, and just half ass shit and fuck around. but i really think the competition yesterday opened a lot of ppl's eyes to see what kind of mind set and dedication is needed to perform at a high level.
Remember, devote urself everyday u step into the training room. U have the right mind set, just keep blasting those weights and big things will happen.
100%....100% of the time. Push, push, push and when u dont think u can push anymore, dig deep and push more.

You hit the nail on the head Alex, There does seem to be a different attitude in the gym (for the most part) now. Even from when I started it seemed that there were only a few people who wanted to improve themselves, and now there is a pretty good group of people who pull for everyone and adds to the intensity of the trainin

Snatch 90% 3x1(85kg), 85% 3x2(80kg) Power Clean and Jerk 90% 3x1(100kg), 85% 6x2(90kg) Deadlift 80% 3x5(160kg) Hack Squat 3x10 Decline Sit-ups 5 x 10
I felt good snatching today hitting all sets with just one miss at 85kg, My catch has been really improving by is still my weak point in the movement. Jerk on the other hand was a struggle today, I continue to get too forward in the jerk and I am really struggling in dropping lower so I dont have to push the weight up as much as I do. I did start to get it together better in my last few sets and I think that I will work up slower next Jerk day and concentrate on form. By the time I started deadlift today i was pretty mentally drained not starting deadlift until about 3 hours into my workout, but i pounded out all three sents with ease, I think next time I max out on deadlift it will be over 200kg is it is right now. My knees are struggling a bit will all the load they take so I decided to try the new hack squat machine and I like it alot, it takes all the pressure off my knees and I was really able to feel the muscles working.

solid day bud! glad u got this goin though. Even though we train at the same place, we dont always get to train at the same time. so this allows us to feed off each others workouts. Keep working!

Absolutely, In a perfect world we would all lift at the same time. It is nice to keep up on your training as well since we are in the same weight class. My plan is to be on the podium with you on April 6th.

sounds good buddy! That'd be legit! Sounds as though u are motivated and on the right track, just keep blasting those kilos!
It'll be sweet to have someone to compete against (all in fun) in the training room as well, pushing one another to hit bigger weights
