www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQnsQSRVZno&feature=player_embeddedi see nothing but trouble for this kid in the future, with that cocky strut, attitude, and haircut.his parents should teach him about sportsmanship and how to be a real champion, because if he keeps going down the same road he is now,yes he might still be a champion, but he's also going to be an arrogant prick.

I was pretty mixed on this as well. I LOL'd at it for about 10 minutes, just couldn't stop watching it. But then, I thought a little about- this kid is 8. I sure hope he is doing it because he wants to. I hope he is doing other sports other than wrestling too...
But, I mean, I can't judge him too harshly...He is a kid yet, and kids do funny things haha.

Sorry, but there is no way that could can have the ability to be that good technically, as well as being faster and stronger than every opponent he comes across without being the arrogant. He is 8 and all he knows is that he is getting a lot of attention and a lot of medals. His parents and coaches could tell him, "don't walk with swagger, don't look smug, etc..." The message would be too confusing to a boy this young. They would take the fun right out of victory. If winning isn't the greatest feeling on earth what is the point to putting in endless hours in practice? As he gets older he will be humbled by other opponents and that is when you build character. Opponents will come on and off the mat. Relationships, friends, shit talkers, teachers, rules, change, etc... Kids go through a lot and no one has it easy growing up. He is excelling in wrestling and maybe he doesn't feel comfortable in other avenues of life. Maybe the mat is the only place he really feels natural? Even if that isn't the case, the boy shouldn't be told not to be ecstatic about each win. We should teach our children to accept consequence AND reward because both are earned equally.
I do hope this kid is being enlightened to boxing and submission grappling of some sort as well. If not now then sometime in the next 4-6 years. This kid has a natural ability for combat and hopefully he rises to the top. I also hope he is being taught that being well rounded is paramount and he is taking his academics as seriously.

You know you wish you could fight and it has to kill you with that wrestling talent you carry. You must look at those stumps for arms and just hate them every day!
