northwestiowapowerliftingchampionship.blogspot.com/nationalibpa.blogspot.com/on January 22 i was nominated as the new IBPA Iowa State Representative.i am directing this meet.this will be the very first IBPA event held in Iowa, which means that all records for the bench press and deadlift are up for grabs.everyone who enters has a chance at being an IBPA Iowa State record holder. i know that most of you guys here are strongmen, and i know that the meet is 7 months away yet,but if any of you have any friends who are powerlifters and who might be interested in competing, please pass the word along for me.i really want this meet to be big, especially since it's the first ever IBPA event for Iowa.

How far is this away from la crosse.....do you have to be a resident of the state to set state records? I asume this is a raw comp....no shirts or suits.....straps or wraps? I would be willing to consider doing it if there is not a specfic comp that i am training for at the time.

It's about 3.5 hours from La Crosse. $35 dollars to enter. Doesn't say anything about having to be a resident.
