There are a lot of strong people on this site and I was wondering if anyone has any kind of background in other sports or athletic activities. Sometimes you hear about great athletes that did ballot as a child as stuff like that. I'm wondering if that kind of thing really helps.

When I was in highschool (4 years ago) I played baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, and swim team. When I was young (10-12 yo) I did gymnastics for several years. great ratio girls/guys in those classes hehe

ahh I did football, wrestled a bit, and golfed in high school , and does weight training count? haha pry not. I also played baseball up until HS I guess, then I wanted to spend all summer lifting/running for football so I decided to stop despite being "ok" at it.

I ran like Forest Gump as teen: ran, ran and ran. Skipped rope, pushups, situps etc. Started at QB in junior high and worked til my arms looked like raw meat playing defense as well. That was it for football as I think I was just too small then and really wore myself out trying to impress the coaches haha. I dressed as a freshman late in the year on the varsity bball team and started the three years after that. Then the "lost years" between 18 and 29 when I found strongman and started to train heavy.
