Back Squat Max Out Previous Max: 161 kg 120, 130, 140, 150, 160, 170
My knee has been bothering me lately so have I decreased my squat volume over the last week or so. I wanted to squat heavy today and see how my knee felt. It felt good so I decided to max out. 160 felt great and decided to try for 170. It was close but I couldn't get throught the sticking point. Maybe I should have taken a smaller jump, but it felt good to put some weight on the bar and just go for it.

Saturday Nov 13 Front Range Crossfit WL Meet and Harvest Open Denver, CO
Weighed in a little light at 83.6 kg. I was counting my own attempts again for this meet. The gym was pretty nice. Lots of space to warm up and a seperate room for the competition platform and spectators. All the plates in the warm up area were in pounds though, which gave me more things to worry about while warming up. There were 8 lifters in the 85 kg weight class. There were supposed to be 11 but 3 were no shows. There were quit a few crossfitters at this meet as I expected.
I missed two of my warm up attemps on snatch but it did not bother me too much. I still hate counting my own attempts. Just a lot of things to worry about. I followed myself on all my snatch attempts. Hit 90 and 94. Missed 98 behind. I did a little better job of spacing out my warm ups for clean & jerk. Again, I followed myself on all three attempts. I hit 116 and 121. Missed 126 on the jerk. Should have had it.
I took second place with a total of 215. I would have taken second place no matter how many of my lifts I would have hit. 2/6 or 6/6 would have gotten me second place. I felt that I could have done better but I put 9 kg on my meet total so I am happy with that.
