10kg on the total from this training cycle- very impressive. What you got friday, max front squats? You pry even added more to your clean?

Friday will be max back squat. I haven't maxed on back squat in a long time so I want to see where I'm at. Not sure how it's going to go since I have been doing sets of 10 and 8. But I just want to see how much weight I can move. Lately my clean has been better than my jerk. Usually I don't do cleans and jerks seperate so I haven't clean more than 120 before yesterday. I probably could have cleaned 130. In my next training cyle I am going to do lots of jerks out of the blocks to try to get my jerk to catch up to my clean.

Finished my internship at Michigan two weeks ago. Just got out to the Olympic Training Center yesterday and start my internship on Monday. More workouts to come.

Right now my training isn't differing a whole lot. I am doing the Roger DeGarmo Memorial next weekend so I pretty much just stuck with what I have been doing for these two weeks. The meet is held right in the weightlifting weight room at the OTC and we get to lift on the platform from the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. After the meet I am going to continue working on my jerks a lot since my clean is stronger than my jerk right now. I am going to start doing pulls off the blocks, too. The strength coaches here are cool. They have helped me with my lifts and have given me cues on things that I haven't noticed before. I haven't met many of the weightlifters yet, but I want to try to meet all of them and watch their lifting sessions. The internship is going well so far. I get to work with a ton of different sports, including a bunch that they don't have at the collegiate level. I saw one of the bobsledders back squat 230 kg 3x5.
