There's no better opportunity to learn from someone than on their training journal. They are telling you exactly how they train and more importantly- will tell you exactly WHY they train that way. I know I have posted on others training journals that I don't even know.. in fact- I don't really care to ever know them, some of them I don't even like (on other forums)
The reason I do it is because I am trying to learn from them and even if they're not stronger than me- I always try to pick up just ONE tip from them throughout the journal. If not, then I feel like I Wasted my time reading it. It doesn't have to be a pat on the back after every workout they post necessarily, but, the more you comment generally the more information they share (me personally anyway).
Learn something from other journals and my biggest advice is just to be proactive in picking their brains into why they train that way.
