you are right- a lot of guys do retire by the time they are 25- those are also the kids from other countries where they have only been doing weightlifting since they have been 8 years old (17 years) as opposed to my few years of it. Know what I mean? I think that gives me more time. You are right- I won't want to cut 6kg for a 2 hour weigh in. More like 2kg... so I wouldnt be cutting 12lbs before the 2 hour weigh in- I would drift a kg the week of and then the final 2kg the night/day of. I think the combination of getting rid of the last few %'s of BF and purely water loss before the meet will get me there.
I will write more tomorrow when I have some more time.

The cutting weight will not work against me. If I were sitting at 6% right now it would obviously, but since I have some to cut it is not. Fat does not contract... so losing it actually would help me body perform better (to a certain extent), and in zero way effect my performance negatively. Obviously at first I may feel a bit weaker as I won't be used to carrying around such a low bf%, but, I'll only be at that low of a bf% for maybe a month before the big competitions, not year round.
The biggest misconception is that you have to gain all this weight to get strong and retaining fat at any cost "keeps" you strong. No. Muscles contract, they get you strong. Strong is strong- regardless of BW. I am just going to give 85kg a shot and see how I perform at that BW. I may decide I don't want to go 85 and that I Want to go 94, but, for now I am confident I Can do well at 85kg eventually.

would the snatch deadlifts be a good accessory exercise to do?or do you just do them because it helps with the snatch?
