A lot of people I have seen that have had good results with the keg load it to there knees just like a stone...I on the other hand just rip it up and press,but it throws my balance off at the top with kegs over about 230 and costs me time on the press....

I saw Justin Blake do what your saying in a video with a 225 keg. Then he attempted doing the same thing with a 250 and couldn't because of balance. Sounds like you're pretty close to Pro status...
J-Red, Just might have to go with your method here. However, I worry about seeing this event at nationals...
