I thought CJ on Monday went awesome. Six singles above 90%. Back squat felt too heavy. Snatch on Tuesday didn't go as well as I wanted, but wasnt terrible. Saturday was terrible. Got frustrated with 85 kg on snatch. Something was just off. Didn't give myself any rest between snatch and CJ like I probably should have. I don't think I should ever miss 115 kg anymore on CJ. Jerk was out front.
Let me know what you think Jared. Next week is the same, just heavier weights.
I'll buy a shirt from you if you bring one to collegiates. Size: large

I honestly think it looks really good. I like that you have thursday completely off, and saturday devoted to THE LIFTS.
I know it wasn't quite the week you wanted, but, it still wasn't that bad at all. You are still pretty darn consistent, and have some good momentum to build on this week. I think this week will be 10x better for you now that you have 1 week under your belt..

Stocks, I know it's not the week you wanted, but, IT IS STILL A GOOD WEEK OF TRAINING! You are getting stronger. That is good. You are attempting PR's, that is good. You are consistent, that is good.
Trust me, it will be there when it counts. until then keep killing it!

I think that its good that I even attempted PRs last week. Even though I didn't hit any PRs, the weights just below were there.

Collegiate Nationals April 9, 2011
In the warm up room I had a miss at 85, left it out front. But came back and hit 87. Hit my opener at 90. Crushed 94 to tie my meet PR. Took 97 but just pulled it. Something about it didn't feel right. It could have been the extra long break between my second and third attempt. The scorekeeper was messing up and everything took twice as long. On clean and jerk I hit my opener at 117 and hit 122 on my second attempt for a 1 kg meet PR. Both felt really good. My third attempt at 126 (for a 1 kg absolute PR) got two red lights for either a rebend/press out. Simon thought that when I was bumping the weight up to adjust my hands that the judges thought I was attempting a jerk. I totaled 216 (1 kg PR) and placed 16th out of 22. I will not open with anything less than 120 on CJ anymore. I also learned that I need to snatch more often. When I make my biggest gains I was snatching 3 times per week. I also figured out that I like to really take my time during warm ups. Sometimes I feel rushed and that there is no room for error when timing warm ups. I went six for six at the WI State meet when Nic Scudamore was coaching me and I had plenty of time during warm ups. New long term goal: 230 meet total

Front squats felt horrible this week. No strength left in my upper back. I have been keeping the weight light on front squat and making sure I stay upright with correct form. 182 kg deadlift is a 12 kg PR. Saturday was my last lift at Mizzou. I wanted to deadlift 400 lbs before I left. Goal complete. 200 kg deadlift is next. I am back home for two weeks, then its off to South Dakota State.

This week and next week I am working out at the YMCA back home. They have pound bumpers, a platform, and a crappy bar. Snatches went ok this week. Really would have like to hit 90. CJ and jerks from behind were terrible. Maybe its something about working out at the Y (subpar bars, bad environment) that is throwing me off. But I did finally have a good front squat day. Deadlifts also went well. Hopefully deadlifts will help me gain some extra leg and posterior chain strength.
