I started strongman beginning of this year thanks to good old Jared Enderton. I'm sad I didn't get to train with him and Vince more often while he was around, but I was very busy and summer is fun time! I have just fairly recently been getting back into everything after the gym I went to was closed down for a while. Gonna take a little while to get back to where I was, but I'm not looking all too bad for right now.

Wednesday 10/21 Front squat: 60kgx8, 100x7, (put on belt) 130x6, 140x4, 140x3 pull ups- BWx10, 10#x10, 20x6, 20x6 tri extension machine- 60x10, 90x10, (without rest)- 110x10, 90x4, 60x6
Felt pretty good. was in a hurry so I skipped ab work. doing the tri extensions in a more bodybuilder style was definitely different for me.

Glad to see you starting a journal man. It'll be fun to follow your program. Are you on a set program right now or just going by feel? Your squatting has improved tremendously- well all your lifts have, deadlift, farmers, just everything. You have a ton of potential if you keep at it!

Thanks a lot Jared! I really am not on a set program right now, just kinda going day by day. I need to figure one out to atleast vaguely follow, but want to get back to where I know what I'm capable of in the different lifts before I get anything too set.

Gotcha. Makes sense. no more lifting in waterloo? Does JP ever coach in CF now with the new weight room?

I'm really not sure. I have seen him over there a couple of times, but really haven't had a chance to talk to him more than to say hi pretty much. I will prob lift at USA next semester again, but am working too much right now and not taking the class and such.

Gotcha. It's a pretty cool atmosphere at USA sometimes. Just having lots of other people doing the same stuff makes ya learn a lot about technique and what NOT to do usually in the class haha.

This cat hit 2 PR's in an oly meet yesterday in the 94kg class... nice work Brendan!
2 PR's after working all night/morning and on about 4 hours of sleep...not too shabby!

Thanks bud! I really meant to start posting my training journal again, but hard to do it regularly.
I hit a 93kg snatch and 120 C&J.
Yeah, it sounds like Main. guess you have just never tried to say my last name hehe. Probably wouldn't know unless I corrected you.

and yeah, working until 5am the night before a lifting competition= bad idea! it worked out for me luckily, but just made it to collegiate nationals with the exact qualifying total.
Quit the casino yesterday so don't have to worry about that anymore hopefully

Very true. No worries. Good to hear you got rid of that job- that would be very hard to maintain. Keep at it.
