Diego is too intimidated by BJ. I know he is tough as nails by that last ass whooping he took from Penn was severe that there has to be a long term effect. When they get locked up and Diego feels that Deja Vu his brain will begin to fill with doubt and then it is all over. Johnson would crush Penn. Johnson is a better match for Fitch. Alves is scheduled to fight Rick Story at 131. It's a little to late into training camp to ask him to reformat and get ready for Penn. Although I love that match up. Also, Rick Story gets a "sorry bud. You didn't need money anyways right?" A lot of people in 170 are either new, injured or on a losing streak. Tough match making for Joe Silva there is already talk of possibly pulling Alves from his match with Story.i don't think that will happen though, but i am with you,i'd like to see that one. yeah i also agree about Diego.that dude got FUCKED UP BAD the first time, spent like 4 days in the hospital afterwards.this match won't happen. Johnson is a HUGE welterweight.at fight time he walks into the octagon at 195lbs.that's big.but as long as he makes 170 the fight can happen.i think he would destroy Penn also, but i also think he would be too much for Fitch as well.i think he might be fighting for a title shot next year some time, depending on what happens with St.Pierre and Shields.the dude just destroyed Dan Hardy.

can you imagine IF Jake Shields pulled off this upset?! The MMA world would be silent for a week while we all went to pick our jaws up off the floor

can you imagine IF Jake Shields pulled off this upset?! The MMA world would be silent for a week while we all went to pick our jaws up off the floor ditto brother! i love GSP,one of my favs and a top notch champion, but i am actually hoping Shields pulls the upset.i like upsets like that, and i like rooting for the underdog as well.i believe there needs to be a change in the welterweight division, and that will be the only way we see change.i don't really care for Shields' style of fighting, don't get me wrong,i love the wrestling and the GnP and jiu jitsu, but i just think he's a little boring on the ground, and the dude REALLY needs to freshen up his boxing.i don't know King, for some reason i'm just sensing an upset here.what about you? either way,i see this fight going all 5 rounds.no way these two are KO'ing eachother.i also think it might be a little boring, but that's just me.

I agree with not loving Shields style. They are a great match up but I don't see any upset coming. I'm seeing the opposite in many different ways. I know GSP wants to finish Shields. He will probably out box him and try to get a stoppage that way. GSP has been working full time with Frddie Roach and we all saw what a little coaching did for GSP's left jab*. I don't know how Shield's chin is but I'm assuming it will be tested. GSP may just try to submit Shields just to show dominance though.
*See Kos v GSP

did you see Diaz TKO Daley last night?Nick is on the top of his game right now,won 10 fights in a row.i'm up for a unification bout for the welterweight titles.only problem is if Shields defeats GSP,Diaz said he won't fight him because they are teammates.so GSP better whoop Shields' ass because i want to see Diaz/GSP.i've always been a Diaz brothers fan,and Nick is a badass.not sure who would win between Diaz/GSP,but i will be pulling for Diaz if the fight does go down.

About to watch the replay tonight. I might fall asleep before the ME but I'll just try again on Monday. I did watch the Primetime with GSP and Shields. TBH, GSP sounded 98% confident but man that 2% can grow wildly as the fight gets closer. And if you doubt yourself at all you could end up on the mat with a doc standing over you with a pen light before you realize what happened. I'm still thinking GSP wins, I just think the odds shouldn't be 4/1 anymore. This might be a real battle for 25 minutes.
